The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of SE Wisconsin will hold its annual fundraising Gala, "Follow the Yellow Brick Road to a Cure". Local Philanthropist, Majorie Clark Takton, will be presented with the JDRF's 2010 Living and Giving Award to honor her committment to the community. The optional black-tie dinner includes dancing to the sounds of Becca and the Boys, exciting live and silent auctions.Musical entertainment will be provided by Youth Speaker, Abby Bryson, 12, of Brookfield and Shannon Knowski, 7, of Port Washington, both living with juvenile diabetes. Other young collegiate women, also afflicted with Type 1 diabetes, will be on hand to sell raffle tickets and assist at the event.
